The goal is to inspire people of all ages to read every day. Studies show that daily reading improves vocabulary\, focus\, and academic success in children. \n“Reading helps people of all ages learn\, grow\, and discover new ideas\,” said Heather Baumeister\, Director of Healthcare Practices at McKenzie Health System. “We love celebrating National Reading Month and encouraging families to make reading a daily habit\, whether through books\, eBooks\, newspapers\, or magazines.” \nThe coloring contest is open to children up to age 10\, and entries will be accepted March 1-31. DESCRIPTION:River Raisin Ragtime Revue \n  \nThe Festival Concert Series at First United Methodist Church of Port Huron\, 828 Lapeer Ave.\, Port Huron is excited to bring you our 2nd series for this season of 2026. River Raisin Ragtime Revue will bring sparkling entertainment to music lovers both young and old. R4 performs and preserves our nation’s original music that melds African and Latin rhythms\, Eastern European harmonies\, and Western European musical forms to create a uniquely American art form. R4 is America’s premier ragtime ensemble. Since they previously performed for our festival series we have received repeated requests for their return. Tonight\, we honor those requests\, and invite you to join us and let R4 warm your hearts once again. Please mark March 7\, 2026 at 7:00 p.m. on your calendar and join us for a wonderful evening of ragtime music. \nTickets: Advance ticket $17\, At the door $20 and Student $5.
