Three Port Huron businesses were caught selling alcohol to minors during a compliance check held Monday, October 20.

The Port Huron Police Department conducted the compliance check operation yesterday, sending in underage decoys to 17 Port Huron restaurants and bars licensed by the Michigan Liquor Control Commission to sell alcohol. Of the 17 businesses checked, 14 were found to be in compliance by refusing to sell alcohol to the underage decoys.

However, three businesses were cited for selling alcohol to a minor. These Port Huron businesses include the Raven, located at 932 Military Street; Bootleggers, located at 402 Quay Street; and Senor Tequila, located at 321 Huron Avenue.

The Port Huron Police Department would like to thank all establishments found to be in compliance and encourages all licensed establishments to check IDs to prevent underage minors from using alcohol.
