A Detroit man was killed and a Port Huron woman is in custody following a shooting Monday afternoon in Port Huron.
Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. on Monday, October 13, to a gas station in the 1300 block of Military Street after multiple 911 callers reported a shooting. When officers arrived, they located a 30-year-old man from Detroit suffering from gunshot wounds. Officers immediately began providing medical aid until Tri-Hospital EMS arrived and transported the victim to Lake Huron Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.
The suspect, a 36-year-oldPort Huron woman, was taken into custody without incident, being lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention Center. She is cooperating with investigators.This remains an active and ongoing investigation being led by the Port Huron Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit.
