Two-vehicle accident in Lexington minorly injures two, damages nearby home

A two-vehicle crash in Lexington only minorly injured two people but majorly damaged a front porch.

The Lexington Fire Department was dispatched shortly before 8:00 a.m. on Sunday, July 27, to a personal-injury crash at Main and Hubbard Streets.

Arriving crews found that one of the involved vehicles had come to rest on the front porch of a house after being involved in the accident. The vehicle struck the exterior wall and also wiped out a support post and railing of the elevated porch before coming to rest.

The car’s occupants were treated at the scene before transport to a local hospital for minor injuries. Lexington Fire remained on scene to direct traffic until both vehicles were removed from the scene by Sal’s Towing service. Also responding to the scene was the Croswell and Lexington Police Departments, Croswell EMS, and the Michigan State Police.

The incident was still under investigation when emergency personnel cleared the scene.
