Aspire Rural Health System is making it easy — and meaningful — for student athletes to get cleared for the upcoming school sports season. For just $10 (cash only), students can walk in and receive a comprehensive sports physical at participating Aspire locations on select dates throughout July and August.

In addition to providing these services, Aspire plans to donate half of every $10 fee to the student’s athletic department, thus helping to support equipment and uniform costs, travel expenses and more. No appointments are necessary, with physicals provided from 1 to 4 p.m. on the following dates and locations. A parent or guardian must accompany the student athlete.

Sports physicals will be held eight different days, at nine different Aspire locations, including on:

  • July 10 at North Branch Family Healthcare;
  • July 17 at Marlette Family Healthcare;
  • July 24 at Mayville Family Healthcare;
  • July 25 at Cass City Family Practice;
  • July 31 at Deckerville Healthcare Clinic and Caro’s Millwood Street Primary Care;
  • August 6 at Port Sanilac Healthcare;
  • August 7 at Family Healthcare of Brown City; and
  • August 14 at Bad Axe Family & Pediatrics.

Sports physicals can also be completed during a Well-Child Visit, which is often covered 100% by insurance. These visits include a comprehensive head-to-toe exam and meet the requirements for sports clearance. To find location addresses and more information, visit aspirerhs.org.
