(PORT HURON) — A 15-year old girl is back safe with her family after being found at the Blue Water Bridge with a registered sex offender. Troopers from the MSP Lapeer Post say the minor initially told police that she was 18-years old and had met 49-year old Roger Reid of Imlay City online. After further investigation it was learned that the girl was a 15-year old runaway from Detroit. U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers arrested Reid. He has been charged with six counts of third-degree criminal sexual conduct, child abusive commercial activity, controlled substance provided to a minor, child accosting for immoral purpose and harboring a runaway. His bond was set at $250,000. A pre-trial hearing has been set for Monday, December 28 in 72nd District Court in St. Clair County.
