Attorney General Dana Nessel announced Monday morning that 59-year-old John Digiacomo had been sentenced in Tuscola County to 50 years in prison after being convicted of criminal sexual conduct against an underage girl.
When convicted on February 27 of this year, the Clio man received six CSC convictions, plus three weapon charges, which he had committed across several counties between 2014 and 2015.
The two charges of first degree criminal sexual conduct carried the possible sentence of life in prison. It is unclear if the recently handed down 50 year conviction would allow Digiacomo to attempt parole.
He is soon due to be tried in Genesee County court on 10 criminal sexual conduct charges and two more weapons charges.
