St. Clair Drug Task Force seizes $336k worth of THC products from Top Shelf Hookah

Following numerous citizens reporting that Port Huron’s Top Shelf Hookah Store was selling marijuana and other THC products to minors via pills and more, the St. Clair County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into the business and its owner on Wednesday, December 21.
A search warrant executed at the business saw the task force seizing about $336,700 in THC products, such as 3,052 grams of cannabis flower, 444 packages of THC gummies, THC hard candies, 15 bags of THC-infused Cheetos, 518 one-gram marijuana vape cartridges and 17 packages of THC oil.
Meanwhile, the warrant executed at store owner Mohammed Asan’s Carleton Street home uncovered $42,000 in cash, which was seized along with a 9mm Glock pistol. Also found during the searches was an unknown liquid that preliminary tested as a methamphetamine and fentanyl compound.
The 35-year-old Asan was arrested on possession with intent to distribute, maintaining a drug business and a drug house, and felony firearm possession.
