(SANDUSKY) -The month of June was a busy one for the Sandusky police department, as they responded to 234 calls for assistance, the second busiest month since the start of the coronavirus pandemic.
According to a report provided by Chief Brett Lester, the department arrested seven adults, made 39 traffic stops and issued 27 verbal traffic warnings.
The department’s Blight Enforcement Officer was also kept busy, responding to 69 complaints within the city.
For the year, Sandusky officers have responded to over 1400 calls for assistance and made 316 traffic stops and handing out 244 verbal traffic warnings.
The department has assisted other agencies 44 times this year, including three times last month.
