Officers from the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office investigated a personal injury crash on private property shortly before 8:00 pm Sunday night in Worth Township. Initial investigation revealed that a Honda motorcycle driven by 27-year old William Matthews of Port Huron, was traveling southbound in a field when it struck a 2013 Jeep Wrangler driven by 27-year old Jonathon Marchand of Port Huron. Further investigation revealed that the Jeep had been traveling south in the field before suddenly turning eastbound and being struck by the motorcycle. The driver of the motorcycle was treated at the scene by Croswell EMS and transported to McLaren Port Huron hospital for further treatment. Alcohol is not believed to have been a factor in the crash.
