A one-vehicle rollover accident in Sanilac County’s Marlette Township Thursday afternoon sent one person to the hospital.
Deputies and emergency responders were called around 2 p.m. to the intersection of M-53 and Clifford Road, south of Marlette.
Investigation showed a 26-year old Macomb County woman was driving north on M-53 when she lost control and rolling her vehicle over, landing on it’s roof.
The unidentified victim was transported to Marlette Regional Hospital for treatment of injuries. Deputies were assisted by Marlette police and fire departments and Troopers from the Michigan State Police Lapeer post.
Investigators say the driver was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol appears to have been a factor in the accident.
Possible charges will be sent to the Prosecutor’s Office.
