Emergency crews responded to a rollover accident Thursday
(ELMER TOWNSHIP) – Sandusky fire department responded to a personal injury accident early Thursday morning that sent a Flint woman to the hospital with serious injuries.
According to Chief Todd Hillman, the woman was driving south on Elmer Road, near Frenchline Road shortly after 7:30 a.m. when her car left the roadway and rolled over in to a ditch.
The woman was ejected from the vehicle. She was transported to McKenzie Health Systems for treatment of her injuries and later airlifted to Flint Hurley Hospital for further treatment.
Sanilac County Sheriff Deputies said the woman, who was not identified, was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and alcohol is not believed to h ave been a factor. The accident remains under investigation.
