THUMB HISTORY PRESERVATIONISTS
TO GATHER FOR ANNUAL WORKSHOP
The history of the Thumb will literally come together April 22 at the annual Tri-County History Workshop in Gagetown.
Representatives from some two dozen museums, cultural organizations and historic sites in Huron, Sanilac and Tuscola counties will gather at Sherwood on the Hill to share information and get new ideas, said Rose Putnam of the Tuscola County Historical Consortium.
“This is a great opportunity for people dedicated to preserving and sharing our history to come together and show to each other all the wonderful things we do,” Putnam said. “Our sites tend to be small. Us working together helps everyone.”
The workshop runs from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Registration is $20 a person and includes lunch.
RSVP with Putnam at 989-444-9574 (call or text). Checks may be made payable to: Tuscola County Historical Consortium, 4208 Little Road, Cass City, MI 48726. Please indicate “history workshop” in the memo line.
