(BRIDGEHAMPTON TOWNSHIP) — A local farmer noticed suspicious containers and meth lab byproducts in the area of Eddy and Ruth Roads on Monday while tending his fields and alerted authorities. The Sanilac County Drug Task Force responded around 3 p.m. to investigate and seized the meth lab components and containers. The farmer had previously attended one of several educational meetings by the Drug Task Force and was aware of the concerns of meth lab components dumped along roadside ditches and vacant properties. Authorities remind citizens to report suspicious containers or other materials to police. Plastic bottles containing a milky type liquid could contain residue from a meth lab and could explode if moved.
