(TUSCOLA COUNTY) — A 33-year old Mayville woman was seriously injured in a single-vehicle crash Friday in Tuscola County. Sheriff’s deputies say the woman was traveling south on Leix Road when her vehicle left the roadway and struck a large rock and some trees. The woman was flown by Flightcare to Covenant Hospital in Saginaw and later transferred to U of M for treatment. Authorities say a pre-existing medical condition may have been a contributing factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Mayville Police and the Vassar Fire Department.
