
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force was busy last Wednesday, arresting two men in separate cases for drug related charges.
The St. Clair County Drug Task Force conducted a traffic stop on Wednesday, January 14, in the area of the I-94 connector and 32nd Street. The lone occupant, 59-year-old Larenza Richey of Detroit, was found to be operating the vehicle without a license. During a search of the vehicle, 26 grams of crack cocaine, six grams of powder cocaine, and eight grams of heroin were found concealed inside of a child’s car seat after a Border Patrol K9 alerted to the vehicle. Also found in the search was a large quantity of US currency.
Richey was transported to St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center, being arraigned in 72nd District Court on January 16. Bond was set at $25,000 cash/surety, with Richey charged with two felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, double penalty; one felony count of using a computer to commit a crime and one felony count of maintaining a drug house.
That same day, at around 6:00 pm, the DTF executed a search warrant on the 1400 block of 27th Street in Port Huron Township, while the home’s resident, 45-year-old Scott Shreeve, was located and arrested during a traffic stop. Drug Task Force members located and seized 144 grams of Methamphetamine, a digital scale, drug paraphernalia, a quantity of prescription pills, a quantity of ketamine and a 20-gauge shotgun.
Shreeve was taken to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center, also being arraigned on January 16. His bond was set at $50,000 cash/surety, and he is charged with three felony counts of possession of a controlled substance, double penalty.
