A 79-year-old woman was injured during a Monday afternoon crash between two vehicles in Marlette Township.
Sanilac County Central Dispatch was contacted around 1:07 p.m. on Monday, March 30, with a report of a two-vehicle crash on Marlette Road near Watson Road in Marlette Township. Sheriff’s deputies, along with Marlette Police, Marlette Fire, and Marlette EMS, responded to the scene.
Initial investigation determined that a 2011 Dodge Ram with a trailer operated by a 47-year-old Caro man was westbound on Marlette Road when he made a left-hand turn into a private driveway in front of an eastbound vehicle. The other vehicle, a 2025 Chevrolet Equinox, was operated by a 79-year-old Clifford woman. The Clifford woman was treated on scene by Marlette EMS and transferred to Marlette Hospital.
Names are being withheld at this time as this is an ongoing investigation.
