The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office reports that there is no current indication of foul play after a man was found deceased last week in Port Huron Township.
Deputies were called Thursday, March 26, to the 2600 block of 24th Street in Port Huron Township for a welfare check, due to the resident not showing up for work. Upon arrival, deputies received no answer at the door, despite it appearing that someone was home. Deputies forced their way into the home, where they quickly found signs that there had been a fire in the home, specifically in the kitchen and living room. 61-year-old Robert Baker was located inside the home and pronounced deceased at the scene.
St. Clair County Sheriff Detectives along with Port Huron Township Fire Department are investigating. At this time, there is no indication of foul play.
