
A Cass City High School student was arrested this morning following an investigation into threats made involving the school.
The Tuscola County Sheriff’s Office responded to Cass City Jr./Sr. High School shortly before 8 a.m. on Thursday, March 5 to assist the Cass City Police Department handle a situation involving threats made against the school. During the investigation, a 19-year-old male student from Gagetown was arrested in connection to the reported threats.
Investigators later executed a search warrant at the student’s home, with several firearms seized as part of the ongoing investigation.
At this time, there is no known ongoing threat to the school or surrounding community, with the investigation remaining active.
