The body of a 36-year-old Harbor Beach woman missing since late January has been found, authorities confirm. Police say Shana Umbreit was discovered deceased on February 14th, more than three weeks after she was last seen on surveillance video at Brown’s Market on January 23 and reported missing on January 25.
Officials with the Harbor Beach Police Department have released limited information as the investigation continues. An autopsy took place over the weekend, with results pending. In a statement, police expressed condolences to Umbreit’s family and asked the public to respect their privacy during this difficult time.
