
A traffic stop last Thursday saw three people being arrested on drug related charges, the Sanilac County Drug Task Force reports.
Task force officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Peck and Maple Valley roads in Sanilac County’s Flynn Township on Thursday, January 15, around 10:50 p.m. The stop occurred as part of an ongoing investigation with the Deckerville Police Department into the sales of illegal narcotics in Deckerville and throughout Sanilac County.
During the traffic stop, approximately 50 grams of suspected methamphetamine, additional controlled substances and brass knuckles were located. A 28-year-old Peck woman, a 31-year-old Peck man and a 51-year-old Sandusky man were arrested as a result of the findings. The Sandusky man was released pending further investigation while the Peck couple remains lodged at the Sanilac County Jail, pending arraignment.
The Sanilac County Drug Task Force was assisted on scene by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office, US Customs and Border Patrol K9 and the Deckerville Police Department. This is an ongoing investigation and no additional information is being released at this time.
