A weekend rollover crash claimed the life of a 37-year-old St. Clair County man.
The St. Clair County Sheriff’s Office reports that shortly before 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, January 10, deputies responded to the area of Kilgore Road, north of Imlay City Road, due to reports of a rollover crash involving one vehicle. Also dispatched to the scene were the Kenockee Township Fire Department and Tri-Hospital EMS.
Preliminary investigation by the St. Clair County Crash Investigation Team concluded that a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado had been traveling northbound on Kilgore Road when it lost control due to the snow and icy road conditions. The vehicle exited the left-hand side of the roadway, entered the west ditch of Kilgore Road and overturned, ejecting the driver.
The 37-year-old Kenockee Township man was transported to McLaren Port Huron where he was pronounced deceased. Family members were notified by the Sheriff’s Office.
At this time alcohol and/or drugs do not appear to be factors, though the investigation is ongoing.
