The Sandusky City Council is slated to approve a resolution concerning proposed local road projects and a 60 month contract with Axon Enterprise for police equipment at their first January meeting tonight.

Having been awarded $250,000 through the Community Service Infrastructure Fund (CSIF) Category B program, the City of Sandusky plans to complete asphalt surface maintenance across five different street sections, including Bridgehampton, Dawson, and Worth as separate projects. Fulton, Moore and Morse Streets will be completed together, and Orval and Thelma Streets will be paired together for work, according to the grant program application submitted for the projects. The project is estimated to cost a total of $504,166, with the city to pay the remaining costs not covered by the grant.

Also on the agenda is approval for a 60 month contract between Axon Enterprise and the city for police cameras and tasers, at a cost of $59,582.76.

The Sandusky city council will meet tonight, January 5, at 5:30 p.m.
