The Sandusky Police Department reports that two search warrants have been executed in an investigation into possible fraud and embezzlement at Sandusky Community Schools.
Sandusky Police Chief Steve McKenny revealed in a press release on Monday, November 3, 2025, that an investigation between the Sandusky Community School district and the city’s police has taken place over the past few weeks, after school staff noted discrepancies with some receipts and invoices. The school’s investigation quickly turned into a criminal investigation, with the Sandusky Police Department being notified.
Sandusky Police executed a search warrant on Thursday, October 23, 2025, with assistance by the Michigan State Police, at a residence on Sandusky’s Golf View Drive. A second search warrant was later executed at the same address about a week later on Wednesday, October 29.
Both searches led to the recovery of property belonging to Sandusky Community Schools, but no arrests have been made, with the case still under investigation.
