A St. Clair County man is looking forward to retirement after winning a $1.35 million progressive jackpot prize while playing the Michigan Lottery.
The 76-year-old player, who chose to remain anonymous, explained that he bought a ticket after seeing that the Fast Cash jackpot was over $1 million, and double checked his ticket once he got home and saw he had a Jackpot match.
The player bought his winning ticket at Algonac Wine & Liquor, located at 411 Michigan Street in Algonac. Algonac is about 30 miles east of Sterling Heights. He recently visited Lottery headquarters to claim the big prize. With his winnings, he plans to retire.
