One person was killed in a single-vehicle accident Thursday night in Sanilac County’s Sanilac Township.
Central Dispatch received a 911 call around 9:19 p.m. on Thursday, October 30th reporting the single-vehicle accident on North Lakeshore Road near Weber Drive.
Investigation by Sanilac County Sheriff’s Deputies indicates that a 71-year-old Deckerville man was heading north on North Lakeshore Road in his 2002 Dodge Dakota pickup, when the vehicle left the west side of the roadway, entered a yard, and rolled multiple times.
The driver of the vehicle was pronounced dead at the scene. The accident remains under investigation.
The Port Sanilac Fire Department and Sanilac EMS also responded to the scene.
