The Sanilac County Historical Society is pleased to announce a generous $500 matching donation from the Woman’s Life Insurance Society, Lexington Chapter 927, in support of the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum.
The funds were raised through the “Quartermania” Quarter Auction held in August and hosted by Woman’s Life – Chapter 927 of Lexington, Michigan. The lively community event brought in $1,307.97, which was then matched with $500 from Woman’s Life for a grand total of $1,807.97 benefiting the Museum.
The Lexington Chapter 927 of Woman’s Life has been a long-standing supporter of the Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum, not only through fundraising but also through volunteer participation. Members of the chapter have even helped bring the museum’s annual Haunted Village event to life, decorating the Huckins Schoolhouse and passing out candy to hundreds of children each October.
The Sanilac County Historical Society extends its heartfelt thanks to Woman’s Life for their continued dedication to the preservation and celebration of Sanilac County’s history.
The Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum is located at 228 S. Ridge St (M25) in Port Sanilac. For more information, visit www.sanilaccountymuseum.org or on Facebook at “Sanilac County Historic Village & Museum”, or call the office at 810.622.9946.
