Cros-Lex grads Carley Golda and Emma King announced as winners of Eagles Aerie 4465 Scholarship

The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Carley Golda and Emma King as the 2025 recipients of the Croswell-Lexington Eagles Aerie 4465 Scholarship.

Carley Golda, daughter of Fred and Shanda Golda, graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School. During high school, she was active in band, participating in several honor bands, the SC4 Community Band, and the Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. She was also involved in powerlifting, the Conservation Club, and volunteering. In 2024 and 2025, Carley traveled to Europe with the Blue Lake International Symphonic Band, visiting the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Switzerland. Carley is attending Saginaw Valley State University to pursue a degree in Nursing.

Emma King, daughter of Ian and Anita King, graduated from Croswell-Lexington High School. During high school, she was involved in band and theatre, and also performed in community plays at the Barn Theatre, participating in a total of 12 productions. She credits her parents for their constant encouragement and support, both in her academic and extracurricular pursuits. Emma is attending Grand Valley State University, majoring in Psychology with the goal of one day offering professional support to individuals struggling with mental health disorders.

This scholarship is possible because of the Croswell-Lexington Eagles Aerie 4465. The Fraternal Order of Eagles uphold and nourish the values of home, family, and community. This scholarship is in support of students in the community who desire to further their education while demonstrating the values of the Fraternal Order of Eagles organization as demonstrated through community service and leadership.
