Port Huron Police are reporting no students were in danger during a medical emergency on Thursday morning at Woodrow Wilson Elementary School.

According to police, just prior to the start of the school day on October 16, school staff discovered an individual near the student drop-off area who was experiencing a medical emergency. School staff immediately contacted Central Dispatch, with EMS, Fire, and police responding quickly to render aid.

The individual was transported to a local hospital to continue receiving medical care. No students were involved or had any contact with the individual, and the subject was not inside the school building when this occurred.

Due to the timing, and the presence of emergency vehicles at the school, the department issued a statement via Facebook to update and reassure the community of the goings-on.
