
The Sanilac County Community Foundation is pleased to announce Madalyn Rickett and Taylor DeLeon as the 2025 recipients of the CPS Athletic Scholarship.
Madalyn Rickett, daughter of Alison and Joe Rickett, is a graduate of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School. During high school, she participated in National Honor Society, Student Council, band, track, and theater. Madalyn is attending Wayne State University majoring in political science with plans to pursue pre-law.
Taylor DeLeon, daughter of Tony and Danielle DeLeon, is a graduate of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School. During high school, she was involved in theatre, band, National Honor Society, and Student Council, where she held leadership positions. She also participated in robotics, quiz bowl, bowling, and track. Taylor is attending the University of Michigan pursuing a degree in Biology, Health, and Science with the goal of entering the health field.
The CPS Athletic Scholarship was created to recognize student-athletes who have demonstrated dedication, sportsmanship, and leadership both on and off the field. It is awarded to graduating seniors of Carsonville-Port Sanilac High School with preferences given to students who played softball.
