In addition to appointing Shelly Husted to a partial term as District 2 Representative for the county’s council on aging, the Sanilac County Board of Commissioners will be awarding a contract for the medical examiner’s office.

The contract, between the county and Secure Removal Services of North Branch, will be for the purpose of long-distance mortuary transportation services. Funding for the service will come from the medical examiner’s budget.

Also to be approved at the October 7th meeting is the five-year renewal of the Great Lakes Bay Public Safety Consortium Intergovernmental Agreement. The renewal will see a total annual cost of $20,000, as funded by 911 Central Dispatch.
