Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office asks for public assistance in Marlette church breaking and entering

The Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect in connection with a Breaking and Entering complaint at the Marlette Second Presbyterian Church, located at Wood and Frenchline Roads in Marlette Township.

The incident occurred on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at approximately 11:07 p.m. Video footage of the suspect was just recently made available by church staff.

The suspect is described as a white male, standing about 5’9” to 5’11” tall, weighing around 160–180 lbs, and sporting a shorter beard. He was seen wearing a camo Hollister sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark shoes, and a ball cap with sunglasses.
