The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) has issued a permit to the Sanilac County Drain Commission for storm sewer work on M-53 between Chard Street and Angle City in Marlette, Sanilac County.
The work is anticipated to start next Tuesday, September 23, and estimated to end in or by November 2025. Traffic will be maintained with lane closures and traffic shifts. One lane will be open in each direction.
These lane closures will ensure the safety of utility workers and motorists as crews replace the storm sewer under M-53.
