The Croswell Fair is one of five recipients of the Michigan Horse Racing Advisory Commission’s 2025 Equine Grant Program, as announced yesterday, Thursday, September 11, 2025.
The Equine Grant Program, established by the Horse Racing Law of 1995 and supported by the HRAC, provides grant funding for: the promotion and marketing of horse racing, equine-related research, equine-related support and aftercare, and other equine-related horse racing programs.
The Croswell Fair received roughly 35% of this year’s funding, with the organization receiving $24,555 for replacement of track lighting.
To qualify for the Equine Grant Program, entities must have been in business for at least two years, be in good standing with the state and be able to provide financial statements for the previous fiscal year. A joint evaluation committee reviews grant applications through a competitive process with final decisions made by the HRAC.
