Work on M-46 through Lapeer, Tuscola counties begins Monday, Sept. 8

The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) will invest approximately $550,000 to resurface M-24 from M-90 to Castle Road in Lapeer County.

The resurfacing project is scheduled to begin Monday, September 8, and estimated to end by Monday, September 15. Traffic will be maintained with single-lane closures. This work is weather-dependent.

MDOT will also invest approximately $650,000 to resurface M-24 from M-46 to Lobdell Road in Tuscola County beginning Monday, September 8. The project is estimated to end on Wednesday, September 17.

Traffic will be maintained with single-lane closures via flag operation, with work being weather dependent. Phase one of this work was done in 2024.
