
A woman was struck and injured while crossing Pine Grove Avenue last Saturday, according to the Port Huron Police.
Officers from the Port Huron Police Department responded to a traffic collision at the intersection of Pine Grove Avenue and Sanborn Street on Saturday, August 30, 2025. The accident involved a pedestrian and a motor vehicle.
The pedestrian, a 41-year-old woman, was walking in the crosswalk across Pine Grove Avenue while carrying her toddler in a child harness backpack and walking her dog when she was struck by a vehicle. TriHospital EMS, which was already in the area, immediately stopped to provide aid.
The toddler was evaluated on scene and determined to be unharmed. The woman was transported to McLaren Port Huron Hospital for treatment of her injuries and has since been released.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and was cooperative with officers. Accident investigators from the Port Huron Police Department responded to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances of the collision.
