An online decoy provided evidence to the Port Huron Police that resulted in the arrest of two men over the weekend.

In a press release shared Tuesday, September 2, the department shared that, during the holiday weekend, an individual known online as Skeeter Jean, who is recognized for posing as a decoy in attempts to expose adults seeking to exploit minors, arranged to meet with two men while portraying a 14-year-old female. Both men met with Skeeter Jean and were confronted by him and a camera crew.

During the course of the investigation, both suspects were taken into custody and lodged at the St. Clair County Jail. Port Huron Police note that though Skeeter Jean was not working in conjunction with law enforcement during these encounters, he did provide evidence of the interactions to officers with the Port Huron Police Department, which assisted in the arrests.

One of the arrestees was found to be in possession of a handgun while carrying under a valid CPL permit.

This investigation remains ongoing, and further information may be released as appropriate. The Port Huron Police Department encourages anyone with information about this case to contact the Port Huron Police Department at (810) 984-8415 or the Port Huron Police Department’s Major Crimes Unit at (810) 984-5383.
