Kingston man arrested, arraigned on 24 charges, including 12 counts of aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material

A Kingston man has been arrested for aggravated possession of child sexually abusive material and using a computer to commit a crime.

Steven Paul Crafard, age 55 of Kingston, was arrested  following an investigation last year in which digital evidence was seized from his home. The investigation was initiated when it was learned that Crafard was sharing files of child sexually abusive material on the internet.

Crafard faces a total of 24 charges: 12 counts of child sexually abusive material – aggravated possession and 12 counts of using a computer to commit a crime.

Crafard was arraigned in 71B District Court on Thursday, July 3, being released on a $100,000 surety bond on July 4. He is scheduled to appear again in court on Wednesday, July 16, for a probable cause conference.
