Port Huron man arrested for resisting arrest, possession of meth with intent to deliver

The St. Clair County Drug Task Force concluded an investigation into the sales of methamphetamine in the 3700 Block of Lapeer last week in Port Huron Township.

During the execution of the search warrant, a suspect was taken into custody after resisting and obstructing officers. Located in the search was a quantity of methamphetamine, as well as a machete, 9mm handgun, digital scales, and ammunition.

Martel Lothery, 28 years old of Port Huron, was transported to the St. Clair County Detention and Intervention Center. He was arraigned on Thursday, July 3, with bond set at $75,000 cash/surety.

He has been charged with two counts of possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, two counts of resisting and obstructing officers, one count of felon in possession of a firearm, one count of possession of ammunition by a felon, a felony firearms charge, and one count of maintaining a drug house. He is being charged as a repeat offender.

Lothery will appear again before St. Clair County District Court Judge John Monaghan on Tuesday, July 15 at 9:00 a.m. for a probable cause conference.
