The Michigan Department of Transportation (MDOT) is investing approximately $3.5 million to improve M-90 from M-24 to the west village limit of North Branch.

Work will include resurfacing, centerline rumble strips, pavement markings and improvements to the North Branch Flint River bridge. Bridge work will include resurfacing, painting, scour protection, substructure repair, deck patching, railing repair, silane treatment, guardrail and approach work.

Work on the bridge will begin July 7 and is anticipated to end Oct. 17. Work on M-90 will begin July 15 and is expected to end Aug. 18.

Traffic will be maintained with single-lane and shoulder closures. Flagging operations will be in place on M-90 and a temporary traffic signal on the North Branch Flint River Bridge.
