The Vietnam Moving Wall will be making a stop in the Thumb area later this month.
The half-size, travelling replica of the moving wall will be in Caro from Friday, June 27 through Sunday, June 29. The wall will be on display at the Caro American Legion Post 7 Hall, located at 110 West Frank Street in Caro.
The over 252-foot long wall has been touring the country since 1984. It is made up of 74 separate granite panels and contains the names of over 58,000 service members who lost their lives in Vietnam. The exhibit will be open for 24-hours while it is on display, beginning 9:00 a.m. on Friday, June 27, and ending at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 29.
The Vietnam Moving Wall was previously on display in Sandusky on the Sanilac County Courthouse Lawn in 2017 as part of efforts by Sandusky High School students.
