Michigan State Police are investigating an odd object found in Sanilac County’s Austin Township.
Troopers from the Michigan State Police post in Caro were dispatched before 9 a.m. on Monday, June 9, to the area of Huron Line Road, between Bad Axe Road and Wheeler Road, for what was described as someone finding an old bomb in the ditch. The MSP Bomb Squad also responded and x-rayed the item which was found to be inert.
This item appeared to be some sort of flare light. It is unknown how the item got to this location.
