A Monday afternoon accident between three vehicles in Lamotte Township resulted in several injuries, according to the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office.

Initial investigation revealed that a 2019 Ford Transit, driven by a 72-year-old Deckerville woman, was traveling north on Germania Road. The driver stopped at the stop-signed intersection, then proceeded into the path of an westbound 2022 Chevrolet Trax, driven by a 23-year-old Deford man who had two minor passengers.

The collision caused the Ford Transit to enter the west ditch of Germania Road. Following the initial impact, the Chevrolet Trax struck a third vehicle that was stopped at the intersection.

The driver of the Ford Transit was transported by Sanilac EMS to McLaren Lapeer Region Hospital for treatment of injuries. The two minor passengers in the Chevrolet Trax were transported to Mckenzie Health Systems in Sandusky for treatment of injuries.
