Sanilac County Drug Task Force arrests two, seizes meth during May 1 search warrant

The Sanilac County Drug Task Force arrested two men and located a dealer’s quantity of methamphetamine during a search warrant execution last week.

The warrant was executed last Thursday, May 1, at a residence in the 3000 block of West Cooper Road in Sanilac County’s Elmer Township. The Drug Task Force was assisted on scene by the Sanilac County Sheriff’s Office. The search warrant was the result of an ongoing investigation into the distribution of methamphetamine in Sanilac County.

During the search, a dealer quantity of methamphetamine was located and seized. Additional substances, which are awaiting laboratory analysis, were also seized from the residence.

Two men living at the address, ages 29 and 35, were arrested and lodged at the Sanilac County Jail, later being arraigned on drug related charges. Additional subjects at the residence were released, pending further investigation.
