The St. Clair County Drug Task Force kept up their busy streak last week, finishing four investigations that yielded several arrests and the seizure of drugs and guns. The Marysville Police assisted in an investigation that culminated in a search warrant being served last Monday (April 25) at 11:00 p.m., to a room at the Clair Inn on Gratiot Boulevard. During the search, DTF members found cocaine, methamphetamine, tools for measuring and packaging drugs, and cash. A 61-year-old Marysville man and a 39-year-old Port Huron woman were arrested and are facing charges of possession with intent to distribute.
The task force had an especially busy day last Wednesday (April 27) night, starting with an 8:00 p.m. serving of a warrant at a home in Kimball Township’s 5300 block of Griswold. Meth was confiscated, as well as cash, digital scales, and 8 firearms. Arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute and running a drug house, a 49-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, both from Kimball Township, found themselves lodged at the St. Clair County Intervention and Detention Center.
At 11:00 p.m. that same night, the task force conducted a traffic stop on a car suspected to be involved in selling meth. While stopped at 17th Street and Lapeer in Port Huron, officers found and seized meth, scales, packaging tools and cash. Two 31-year-old men from Port Huron were arrested for intent to distribute, as well as charges related to a handgun that had been found on one of the men.
Not slowing down, DTF finished out their week on Thursday with a 5:00p.m. search and seizure of crack cocaine from a 39-year-old Port Huron man’s home and car. After executing a search warrant at his home in Port Huron’s 1300 block of Thomson Avenue, officers found more crack cocaine, as well as meth and fentanyl, also finding a large amount of cash in his car. The man faces charges including being a habitual 4th offender and possession with intent to distribute.
