(THUMB REGION) – Despite the new Executive Order regarding the wearing of face masks, the Bad Axe and Sandusky police departments say dont come knocking on their door.
In a statement published Friday, Bad Axe and Sandusky police said in light of the 147 Executive Orders that have been handed down, the departments are confused about what Orders are enforceable and what ones are not.
Police officials are encouraging anyone who wishes to report a violation or complaint regarding the wearing of masks, to contact the Michigan Attorney General’s Office.
In Friday’s notice, the departments told the general public to NOT contact their departments to file a complaint.
Officials have said the Executive Orders are just that, an order, that does not carry the weight and power of an actual law.
Other local police departments are expected to make similar statements.
