Communities throughout the listening area have an eye to the end of May and whether or not Memorial Day events will proceed as planned. Many cities and villages conduct services to honor fallen military members at the end of the month. With the COVID pandemic still dominating the headlines, communities are re-considering whether or not their parades and services will go on as usual. The City of Bad Axed is among the first to announce they have cancelled their parade due to the virus and plan to be back on schedule with the services next year. Other communities are expected to follow the lead of Bad Axe.
