(WORTH TOWNSHIP) – A three-vehicle accident in Worth Township Thursday afternoon sent one person to the hospital and another to jail.
According to the Sanilac County Sheriff Department, two pickup trucks collided near a construction zone around 5 p.m., forcing one of the vehicles into oncoming traffic and colliding with a minivan.
Four people in one truck were treated and released at the scene while the female driver of the van was transported to McLaren Port Huron. A sixth person, the driver of the other truck, was arrested for multiple violations and an outstanding warrant from Sanilac County and was transported to jail.
Names are being withheld pending further investigation and arraignment. Airbags in all three vehicles were deployed and all drivers and passengers reported wearing their seatbelts.
Deputies were assisted by the Lexington fire and police.
