(MARLETTE TOWNSHIP) – A Sanilac County man has been accused of sexually assaulting his step-son multiple times, according to Michigan State Police investigators.
Mark Huggett, 52, of Marlette was arrested on a four count, felony warrant for first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Huggett, who owns a sod farm business and is a former Marlette school board member, was arraigned in Sanilac County District Court and is free on $200,000 bond (10%) while awaiting further court proceedings next week.
According to authorities, the victim, a 40-year old Pennsylvania man, is the suspect’s step-son who once resided with Huggett in Michigan.
Police say the victim reported Huggett allegedly sexually assaulted him as a child multiple times.
The alleged incidents happened when they resided together more than 10 years ago, according to investigators.
