A Minden Township home was totally destroyed by flames late Wednesday afternoon. Minden Fire Chief Zach Kramer said his department responded to a structure fire in the 8000 block of Mauer Road around 4 p.m. and found the single-story home fully engulfed in flames.
No occupants were home at the time of the fire that was first noticed by a neighbor who called Central Dispatch.
Kramer said firemen remained on scene for over three hours and poured 40,000 gallons of water on the flames.
Delaware and Bingham-Ubly fire departments assisted Minden, along with Bingham EMS.
No injuries were reported and the American Red Cross was called to assist tenants of the home.
